Sorry I didn't respond--very busy in last few days. I'm a bit more at ease also--even though the order for 2000 didn't go through I did put an all or nothing restriction on it--maybe that made a difference.
Upon reflection, I'm more at ease in general about HGRM for the following reasons. These reasons are all JMO.
1. HGRM has been in business for many years, and their business is and has always been (as far as I am aware) holograms. I have about a dozen sample holograms from them. If they were out to mislead they either 1. recently decided to pursue deceit, showing a strange change in character or 2. Have the patience of Job. The time it has taken to reveal their plans is realistic--such major events do take time. Although many details are still as of yet unrevealed, their actions over time appear to be consistent. A person out to defraud would most likely have poured on the press releases and moved on quickly--just the opposite of HGRM's character.
2. It is likely that the contract in Russia is real. The confirmation I got from the FSC in Moscow of the article in the Financial Newsletter goes a long ways toward legitimizing the contract. Further, other industry sources have indicated an awareness of the contract, so it does not appear to have come from thin air.
3. While there is concern about the details of payment since HGRM has yet to reveal those details, I think that if one were to pick a Russian contract having good relative chances of being honored with payments, this one would rank high. Why? Incentive. One must presume that the agreement was made because Russia has a great need to collect on taxes. The expected savings to the Russia government probably are enormous--much larger than $130 million. Also, how would it look to the Russian people if the government said 'you must pay what you owe' and then they don't pay? Not a strong argument, but relative to other business deals, the likelihood of payment is maybe not too bad. Although it is disconcerting that HGRM is so tight-lipped about the recent news as well as older news, as was Debi pointed out to me these are not simple issues at all. HGRM has been working on this for over a year and there have got to be important political considerations. Also, the Trend article on the Website had a comment from Kevin that if you don't take action your competitors will. This 'watch your back' attitude possibly may explain some of the difficulty in obtaining information but wouldn't you be careful with what you say if you are on the threshhold of becoming a world class business with market leadership? Also, after being outbid for Voxel, I too would be slow to show my cards.
This is somewhat maddening for me to not have the answers, especially with the current non-reporting status, but there is definitely wisdom in being very cautious and quiet.
First shipment is due just 24 days from today. i'm eager to see how all this unfolds. Best of luck to Holographic Dimensions and all shareholders. Ted
