This is what is confusing me. If HEC simply gave RGC the shares it only would have cost them $15mm ($1.75/s x 8.5mm). Instead it cost them $25mm. Why?

If RGC was short shares, so what if these were used to cover their position. If they sold the shares on the open market, imo that would have been foolish as they only would have received market value and as a result, nothing, for their original loan.

Oh well...if anyone else has a theory...I'm still interested...maybe I'll call the company and see if they can give me an answer.

Believe we have bottomed here also and that the drilling program will go on.

Got a kick out of that poster, (MF??), who explained to Don that fortunes were being made in this market although not in the natural resource sector. Then he goes on to give his top pick as ROH. Just what this thread needs, a pop-in comic.
