We have no reason to doubt Barr when he says that he was not aware of the problem. He condemned the group for having "bizarre racial theories". Also, apparently the group is not officially committed to segregation, it just doesn't ban discussion of it by some of its members. In any case, the chairman of the Republican Party has called on all Republicans to repudiate the organization-- and finally, according to the Washington Post, most of the local and state office- holders associated with it are Democrats. (I know less about the specific allegations concerning Lott, so I hesitate to comment on them). Anyway, your innuendos about southern conservatives are, once more, an attempt to appear more knowing than you can possibly be...
