I wonder what the sequence of defenses will be this time. The Lewinsky scandal progressed like this:

1)It's all a big right wing conspiracy.

2)She's nuts. She just wants publicity. I bet she didn't even know the president.

Then the white house logs came out (37 visits).

3)Well, she probably exaggerated. You know - locker room talk.

Then she got immunity from Starr.

4)Well, she just doesn't want to go to jail, and she'll embellish her relationship with Clinton to avoid jail.

Then the DNA stain was revealed.

5)Well, it's not really sex. He didn't have sex but she did. And she's a slut.

6)Okay, Clinton did lie under oath, but it's not bribery or treason. It's just a felony.

7)So what if it's a felony. That doesn't mean he should be impeached. It's just about sex. We've got to save Social Security.

8)The timing of the bombing of Iraq didn't have anything to do with the impeachment trial. Pure coincidence.

9)Clinton is the real victim here.

I think that we'll see a similar sequence in the Broaddrick allegation:

1)She's nuts. She just wants publicity.

2)Where's the book? She's gotta be writing a book.

3)Where's that Richard Mellon Scaife? He's gotta be behind this.

4)She's a slut.

5)It's just about sex.

6)Okay, so what if Clinton raped her? Are we therefore going to overturn 2 elections? We've got to save Social Security.

7)The bombing of Kosovo didn't have anything to do with the rape allegation. Pure coincidence.
