Well, on the other hand , how do you know the internal operation of DOJ , and how do you know DOJ will not do what smart investor is predicting ????

Because of the aggressive manner of which the DOJ is pursuing this case, because of the feisty nature of one David Boiles, because how he went after witnesses. He's not letting up on the smallest issue, and you are telling me they want a half way settlement? I don't believe it, if that's the case, why not explore the grounds for a out-of-court settlement now? Why risk additional back-stabs by the public on both sides, why endure additional embarassment as the trial goes on? After all, if two people get into a big argument, but they both want to settle it on the side, why keep arguing? Do you think the DOJ are just bluffing, all rhetoric, no substance? I don't believe it. If they want to settle it out of court, they will be smart to start doing it now. And that's not the case, and I don't see any indications that they are going through that route.

If I am beating you so bad in a fight, why should I stop the punches and shake your hands? It seems to me the logical way to do it is to go after you with even more vengeance, step on you, spit on you and not let you have a chance to catch a break. And I see that's exactly what the DOJ is doing now.

Remember only stupid people call themselves smart. Smart people know they are smart, they don't have to say it. So don't take smart investor's advice to heart too much.
