Great numbers for MSFT. It seems a lot of the negative news has been factored into the price--but is it all? I don't know. Just read a story of two lawsuits one in Californian and another Washinton---to do with refund for Windows and or pricing of Word and Excel. (story below)

Could MSFT settle without acknowledging monopoly power? Maybe. However, i think it will be difficult to settle with the DOJ and all states because some may want a lot more concessions from MSFT than the DOJ. It is making my decisions difficult, that is, to load up on more options going into the split and earning. Unfortunately, there is no other stock that is worth an aggressive options strategy. Thought it was INTEL--but they got their own problems. Too late to jump on Wal-Mart options(was one of my favs). That is maybe why I will add more MSFT calls if trial turns a little better.

story:
How significant are these kinds of lawsuits? Are they significant if MSFT is declared a monopoly by Judge Jackson?
