Thanks, Dave, for your input - we'll see what Monday brings. I understand your point about holding 'nets beyond a day trade. I held LCOS over the USAI announcement. Not a pretty result. But I've never believed that the potential outcome from a short position is somehow different from a long. Yes, the stock price could go to infinity, but stock prices don't in practice go to infinity. So in the BCST example, I think the longs have an equal chance of getting hurt as the shorts on Monday morning. But I do agree with your basic premise - it is a speculative position, short or long.
