True, though in the traditional systems engineering sense it is an infant O/S. It probably has an interrupt handler and that's about it.

The digital TV is a whole new game, but is too expensive for the time being. Meanwhile, if and when mobile broadband materializes on a mass scale and becomes affordable (perhaps 2-3 years?) I, personally, would rather use my laptop to watch TV.
