I took the time last week to fill out an envelope and send my business card to that dying child your speaking of.

I hope you meant that as tongue-in-cheek humor. In case you didn't, though, understand that the "dying-child/Guiness" story is one of the most prominent bits of urban folklore making the rounds. That particular story pops up once or twice a year. I've seen it at least 20 times in the past several years. The name I've usually seen associated with the story is "Craig Shergold". Actually, wasn't aware the story had resurfaced and had made reference to it only as a tongue-in-cheek reference to "urban folklore" since it's the most well-known of this type of story.

FWIW, Craig is quite healthy, and now 17 years old (he was 6 when this story first surfaced) and wishes the letters would stop. The story was at least initially true. Somehow it keeps resurfacing, though. I even contacted the "Make a Wish" foundation about this one several years back.

Check out urbanlegends.com

Not saying the FCC thing is an urban legend; but I'm also not saying it isn't. This same story pops up just about as often as the Craig Shergold story and often about the same time. For me, anyway, just not worth the effort.

And, yes I vote, and no, I don't whine about the winners. And I think it would be everyone's right to whine whether they voted or not.
