Fred, Internet stocks should not be evaluated on P/E. Internets are a blossoming industry and not yet mature. Hence EPS would be a good measure instead. So if AOL and ATHM combine then its potential for earnings and future undergo a considerable increase. Number of subscribers go up, revenues from e-commerce increase, ad revenues increase, etc.
