Frank,

Wondering what your thoughts are on who exactly are gorillas in the net space. Or are there a bunch of princes, kings, etc. scrambling around right now seeking gorilla status?

The question I constantly ask myself is, "what do all these companies need to do to become gorillas," and then once they become gorillas "what do they need to do to maintain this status?"

I think it is very difficult to apply Moore's criteria to this space. For example, are high barriers to entry the degree to which a Yahoo or AOL retains its customers? God knows they don't have any proprietary technology (like Intel) that becomes a "standard" that everyone flocks to.

Bunch of muddled thoughts to generate more conversation.
