Sig: Here are some great passages from an Internet Week report on e-commerce that came out last month. They authors were making comments on 1998. Yet, who is in the best position to dominate in 1999? IMO, DELL will fire on all 8 cylinders and deliver a stellar performance. Here are the I-Week comments on DELL: <<No one helped craft (direct selling) more than Dell Computer. The PC manufacturer's direct-sales and build-to-order strategies were legitimized left and right, as earnings skyrocketed and channel-huggers Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and IBM scrambled to find a way to mimic the success without nuking their existing businesses.
