i don't know about branded. i know the whole market in revenues is shrinking. see my previous post for details, though you already know most of them.

sure, are segments growing? yes. the sub $1k market is seeing revenues explode. are dell's revs growing? yes, but slower than anticipated.

it is merely more difficult to grow your piece of the pie when that pie gets smaller. dell may increase revs and may, eventually, take over the entire pc market. it is possible. just not probable.
