Well to each his own Yuri,

Russia is not India, it actually makes things like airliners and space stations. India may be educated, but it does not have the natural resources that Russia has. As for the other countries you mentioned that have natural resources. They do not have as much as Russia, nor do they have the education or infrastructure as Russia does. But I would take right now the market cap of Mexican stocks over Russia's stock market cap. That alone would give me a huge return.
It is an educated guess about the type of economy Russia will have in the long term. But I just don't see Russia as being as backwards as it has been printed in the media. Their economic failure in 1998 is directly a result of low oil prices and bad IMF policies IMHO.
It has always been interesting to me that web pages in the U.S. have higher market caps than entire stock markets in other countries. The term "overvalued" comes to mind.
