From the House report:(30th November 1998)

"The anomalies indicated by the IP/Resistivity survey and supported by the geological mapping warrant further exploration. We recommend that a program of diamond drilling utilizing NQ or larger drill tools be undertaken to test the anomalies, with the breccia pipe anomaly tested initially.

The breccia pipe anomaly should be drill test over the full strike length of 400 meters with the first hole located at the center of the breccia outcrop at Station 6+50 on Line E. A further five holes should be drilled along the strike length of the breccia outcrop and on both sides of the anomaly, around stations 600 and 800. The drill holes should be drilled to at least 250 meters depth and if warranted by encouraging results at least one hole should be drilled to 400 meters.

We recommend that at least one drill hole be put down on the anomaly on Line A at Station 700, to determine if the polarization is due to silicification and magnetite or metallic minerals. We also recommend that at least one drill hole be put down on the anomaly on Line I, preferably between Line I Station 500 and the old pit with copper stain. The steep slope forming the boundary to the Alto de Lipangue in this area is crossed by Line I from Station 450 to 1,200, and is inaccessible for drilling. It may be necessary to angle this drill hole towards the polarization anomaly in order to get meaningful results."

From the REPORT ON THE EVALUATION OF THE SANTIAGO PROJECT, METROPOLITAN REGION CHILE for MEDINAH ENERGY INC. by Gordon D. House, P. Geo. 25th JULY 1998

in here House talks about diamond drilling, allow for 10X200m NQ drill holes, initially 2,000 meters NQ @ $85.00 per meter...Geologist, core samplers, and support crew, estimate 15 days @ $1,250.00 per day etc.etc.,

Now remember this was before the IP's were done so after fine tuning here what was in the 30th November House report....

Direct drill footage costs, @ $85.00/meter
Total meterage - 2,700 meters @ $85.00/ meter, etc. etc. ...
Estimate 35 days @ $550.00/day
Room & Board, transport, supplies,
Estimate 40 days @ $250.00/day ....etc, etc....

So some interesting estimates, I would like to see someone such as the Chief or another independent non Medinah investor give their armchair QB on this type of drilling, they basically know the type of rock so one should be able to guesstimate length of time to complete approximately 2,700 meters + - using a crew of six 24 hours a day 7 days a week. My guess is anywhere from 100 meters to 150 meters a day. So somewhere around three weeks barring major problems like the month of March being "Autumn Siesta Month" or " Hug A Driller Month", things should be over at de Lipangue pretty soon, and Dos Marias begun. Maybe thats what House meant by his 35 day estimate. If he meant 35 days for LiPangue there is a unique discrepancy in the two reports albeit one was very preliminary. The optimist in me says late March for both of these to be cored. The pessimist in me says that will be a tall order to complete in order to avoid that "window" being slammed shut.....
