Given that China's population is one billion, if only 0.5% of them decided to get a Pentium III, that's still 5 million. I'd say that's pretty good.

And if 5% of them only wanted sub-$600 computers, that's 50 million right there. Guess who'll have the capacity to supply all this?

P.S. - Of course, there's still the issue of spending mucho bucks for a bloated OS and software. Then again, considering all of the software piracy that goes on in China, maybe not.
