My response is that you can plug a CF card into any PCMCIA type II slot.

Can you name a PC manufacturer that offers a Memory Stick or Smart Media slot? No, you have to by either a Flash Path floppy adapter and download software or use whatever adapter is required for the Memory Stick.

PCMCIA adapters for the PC are available, the cheapest being the SanDisk ImageMate which can be had for under 50 bucks.
