dennyv, Due to the freeware concept of the OS, the profits for us lie not in the Co(s) developing the OS, but in buying up shares of the little software shops that spring up to market applications and utilities for the OS.

If you (or any reading this) is in the IT field, read your trade rags closely. Linux is establishing a foothold in big corp thinking, as Mainframe big$ mis types retire, and forward thinkers(linux users)move in(or up).

IMHO a revolution in the desktop and workstation OS world is ready to ramp up. Where I work Linux boxes are popping up all over the place. While this is still considered "fringe" implementation, their success will ultimately steer managment's thinking.

Think about it, mgr. to engineer: "this server does all that and the OS is FREE?".

Maybe the next internut party will be the "Li-nuts" :)

Just my $.02
Regards,
robb
