I think folks can best arrive at some sort of truth... about an issue by addressing the issue itself. The particulars of the people addressing it are both irrelevant and a distraction. Claptrap is claptrap, reasoned discourse is reasoned discourse, whether from a 10 year old sage or a 90 year old naif. You don't need to defend your positions if you don't wish to.
