Shawn: I do not understand why this can be considered any victory at all for MSFT. I'm quite sure that everyone including SUNW new quite well that MSFT was free to implement a "clean room" implementation of Java. Big deal, if they do they destroy the primary benefit of Java, i.e. cross-platform operation. So What? Can someone please explain to me why this is viewed as a MSFT victory?
