Not correct, DLC in the telecom world is Digital Loop Carrier and it typically meant for DLC technology. How can a technology be a point where data and voice separate, makes no sense at all.

One of the generic devices that support IDLC is RDT. One form of a next generation RDT can effectively supports old/new (traditional/xDSL) lines aggregation and provides a more intelligent interface to an ingress switch using GR303 protocol.
