Being a Pisces, of course, I operate from pure right-brained intuition and this EDR thingy would explain my ongoing problems with all household items. CW was intrigued and wants to see if we try it with three hands will it work better. But I refused to let him unroll the paper. It will happen on its own soon enough.

Did you ever try to get a wad of kleenex back into a box straight? That never works either

Speaking of right-brained-- CW had a date last weekend and asked what his curfew was. We said it depended on his plans. He said they wanted to go see Saving Private Ryan because their English teacher told them it had changed her life. And then they were going back to Chrystal's house.

"What for?" asked Dan. He's a little protective still, though he's really trying hard to let go.

CW's face lights up. "Because Chrystal has a pottery wheel and we're going to make a vase! I've always wanted to try that!"

"That is so sweet!" I exclaim. "You just call us when you get there and tell us what time you'll be home."

"Are you crazy?" Dan looks at me horrified. "You saw Ghost! You know what can happen with pottery wheels!"

"Da-d-d-d-" You know, it was so nice to hear that tone used on his father for once instead of me. "Jeez. That's sick. I just think it's a neat thing to do. Chrystal is completely right-brained. SHe's like completely opposite from me and it's so interesting because she doesn't always make sense. And she has weird ideas."

No wonder I had loved Chrystal the first time I met her; I found her extremely witty and bright and she laughed at my jokes. I waved him away. "I think it sounds great. Go. You have fun!"

Dan still looked dubious but nodded. He couldn't refrain as CW left, "If I hear the Righteous Brothers singing "Unchained Melody" in the background when you call, you're in big trouble."
