Viper: who ever you may be, but I have to agree with you at this point since your remarks make some sense. No matter how wonderful the product might be and how much huge potential it has in the near future, the management here needs to learn not to be too "cunning" in their attitude with their small supporters, small shareholders, the populace, and not make statements which sound a bit arrogant, as if they "alone" know the dynamics of stock price behavior and rest are simply idiots. I'm incredibly long in GMGC and hurting immensely at the current time. Even though all of us try to be rational most of the time, every person's internal psyche is basically just like a 6 year old child they say, it somehow does not understand too many complicated things, but it understand the feeling of "pain" very well. The bottom line then is: if the erroneous behavior on the part of the management continues, their excellence in engineering does not matter that much to the street in the short term, and it becomes very hard even for well-wishers to continue the so called "good word of mouth" about a company. I sincerely wish GMGC management do something very soon to rectify this situation. Basically just deliver "the fantastic results" which are possible, as soon as possible, working their butts off ... which they can easily afford to do, at the incredible salaries' and options' dough they take home day in and out. (instead of opening their mouths frequently and messing up practically every time, as far as GMGC price goes :-( ). Can't simply blame the street, if they just believe in MSFT etc. companies only then. (the consolation here is that MSFT believes in GMGC :-) ).
In fact, if you compare Markman and Bill Gates, (damn me ... shouldn't use side by side in the same sentence ) I think Bill should take at least 4 times more salary, than he is currently taking, because the man delivers ... every time, invariably ... and does not create too often the situations, where his shareholders keep on wondering and hurting. Call me childish, but I believe Mr. Bill Gates is the most *underpaid* CEO on this planet. No matter how much he has, imho, he deserves even more. My absolute and perpetual salute to the world's best man - Mr. Bill Gates!
regards to all, -/Sonny. |
