True story: I was told by a young person whose resume i was reviewing, a person who had a masters degree... no wait, i have to explain this differently. I read on his resume that he had a masters in 'pubic administration.' Trying not to laugh, I asked him what sort of things he had studied, what reading had he done for the course. His reply was, "some books about overseas." I asked him to write a few things down, and on the list, I asked him to write the name of his major. It hadn't been a typo.

He did pronounce it correctly.

I fully expect not to be believed.
