To Andrew and other regular commentators,
When I first ecountered this thread, I posted my opinions freely at that time. I felt there was little of value here for a novice investor and that it might actually do more harm than good. I spoke openly and directly and was told in no uncertain terms by many people to take a hike.
Since then, I have said little (is that cheering I hear? :-)). Because of you Andrew, and Kevin, Jeff, Patrick, Steve, Webster, and others, I have continued to follow the goings on. I read every post and really look forward to checking in each day here.
In my opinion, the value is exactly as you have stated Andrew. You, and many other regulars, don't hype your picks and it is obvious to all that you are trying to provide a framework in which those of us less experienced can learn from and understand what you have to say.
This is, without a doubt, the best thread I have seen at SI, not because the picks are great, but because many of us are learning how to trade stocks from more experienced investors. I feel priveleged to be able to listen in on your conversations. I hope I speak for many of the silent majority when I say "Please continue!" |
