Right on all points, Rocket. I must admit, though, to having been unable to shake the nagging thought that somehow I (and others) are missing a crucial part of the Iridium puzzle; that somehow the system is going to be optimized by a category of user that the magazine ads are not aimed at. But the conundrum here is: why have such ads in the first place if this is the case? There are two answers: One, Iridium's management really IS smart, and they are playing a chess game with the "mate" move cleverly hidden from view as the pieces to support it are moved into position. Or,two, Iridium management is incredibly stupid and the guys that run General Mills could do a better job (put the phone in cereal boxes - family size, that is!). Comment is invited.
