RTev: You are misinformed. MP3 *is* a streaming format.
This simply means that you do not have to download the
whole file before starting to play it.

Every MP3 file is composed of "frames". Each frame specifies
about 15ms of sound. There is a 3-byte header to each frame,
but no file header. Nor is there anything at the end of
the file that you need in order to start playing it. (There
can be an ID3 tag at the end holding info like Title, Artist, etc.)
