I won't trash the aspect of any man that has been in harms way. I will however trash the mentality of a military lifer and some of these brass buttoned bafoons and their thought processes having endured 4 years of their idiocy. Shall we go down the ranks of those that did not serve for some reason during the Nam era and those who lie and forgot about it like a Bill Owens Gov of Colorado and all those stay at home hawks the likes of a John Wayne, Reagan, Buchanan, Heston the list goes on and on. If the good Col would deride these jerks like he derides Clinton then I could respect that. My personal hero is and always will be Ted Williams when I as a high schooler first met him during spring training and later on as a player. This guy wasn't a cardboard hero like Wayne and most of these stay home guys he put it all on the line and never blasted anyone who didn't serve. No tell the Col to examine all rightwingers who dodged the draft,Dan Quayle eh, many more I hold no animosity towards any of them they were right and a helluva lot smarter than those of us who went
