Stephen, I know you mean to be positive with these posts but you are so far off base I just cant keep silent anymore. The baby boomers were big in number and that was it. Therefore, media etc. panders to them as if they were some sort of supreme contributors when in fact they were not. For one thing, it took the boomers way too long to grow up. The GenXers were out producing WAY before the boomers. And the boomers never created anything that I can see. The wall street wealth in the 80s was created with a lot of financial shenanigans, junk bonds and the like - derivations of wealth that was already there. The GenXers actually created wealth through technology invention - Dell is an example as is the internet and multimedia technology etc. I'm not saying nothing was created in the 80s but the 90s greatly eclipses almost every other decade in terms of invention in this entire century - and you have the 20-year olds to thank for it as they are the workers in this emerging industry. Remember the old slang term they used to describe the 20-somethings with - "slackers" - who made that up? A bunch of whiny baby boomers that spent their 20s 'finding themselves'. sheesh.
