Kevin, thanks for reminding me why I own CPQ. But I fail to see how the popularity of Sony computers at CompUSA has much to do with SNDK.

For the year ending 3/98, Sony had sales of US $51B and profits of US $1.7B. It took Sony about two days to outsell SanDisk's entire year so if Sony decided to give away Sticks until SNDK folded, it would have no material effect on their bottom line.

We have IBM and their 300MB microdrive on the left and the Sony Goliath on the right, Iomega's Clik! in front, Toshiba and dozens of others biting our butt. To believe that SNDK will sail right by all these competitors unscathed is to bury one's head in the Sand(isk).

Craig
