Pretty interesting stuff I'm reading here for the last 10 or so posts. I've been with Etrade for about two+ years now and while I am not what they consider an active trader, 35 to 70 trades a month I suppose, I do enough business with them to expect professional service. Up until this last week I have always received that service but now I find that the server and accounting mechanism are not working well or at all.

Anyone had their money held in limbo due to so called "open orders" that do not exist? Or an order that you canceled that still shows up on the open order screen? Or no one getting back to you about it after numerous tries? Yea I am frustrated but probably don't have as much justification as most of you folks. All the same I want out of Etrade, and will go elsewhere even if it means paying more for commissions.

So my next question is this. What are the chances that once I tell these fools to cough up my cash and securities that I will see anything from them this year? Anybody had any experience with cashing out at Etrade?

thanks in advance

jim
