Hi ed, I have been passively watching this debate- an interesting one - and thought I add my humble opinion. Almost nothing is 100% sure. There is always a possibility of anything happening in this world. Contradictions are rare. What we do is assume that markets are not perfect and that we can take advantage of these imperfections. Some use TA and some use FA to figure out these imperfections. But all we are doing is trying to gauge the imperfection.... What is going to happen tomorrow is not only a product of the markets tendency to correct todays imperfections, but also a product of tomorrows random events (or for those who are "determinists" : tomorrows undeterminable events). By definition random events (or undeterminable events) can not be determined. -Raj
