How about listening to Craig for a change:
"(The Pentium III) is just a preview of things to come".

Kurlak was also a guy who didn't listen, do you remember?
- note I used the past tense ;-)

How many people foresaw Intel doomsday at the time of the math flaw on the first Pentium ? What has happened ever since?

How many jokes on "celery" from the pundits ? Where is Celeron now ?

IMO there are 2 ways in this business :

(i) you go to market with what the market requires and let your product development and manufacturing muscle go through the remaining issues. This is the winner's approach, i.e. Intel's.

or

(ii) you blow all your energies to brag about the Intel killer, and how this this time it's really different, to only discover (invariably) a few months later that you cannot make it. And when eventually you are through the gotchas the product is already dead. This is the loser's approach, i.e. AMD
