Action Products' Brands Deliver Record Sales at NY Toy Fair
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Action Products International, Inc. (Nasdaq: APII - news) today reported a large sales gain at the 96th Annual American International Toy Fair held in New York. The Toy Fair, recognized worldwide as the industry's premier trade show, congregates thousands of manufacturers, importers and sales agents from 30 countries to showcase their products. It is the most important toy industry marketing event of the year and is attended by more than 15,000 commercial retail buyers and over 900 national and international print and broadcast reporters. The Company's six-figure sales for the 1999 Fair represent a 48% increase over its record-setting 1998 sales. 1999 is the Company's fourth consecutive record Toy Fair.

''Toy Fair 1999 was by far our best show to date,'' stated Director of Sales Bob Muniz. ''We had three solid brands to show this year. We surpassed our 1998 record-setting sales figure on the first day of the show and continued that momentum throughout. In all my years at APII, I have never experienced such an active show. Additionally, we had many positive conversations with some of the larger specialty retail chains and internet retailers who were interested in carrying our products. We should continue to see orders from the show throughout the first quarter and 1999.''
