Unisys Names Barbara Babcock Vice President, Electronic Business

BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999--Unisys Corporation
today announced that Barbara A. Babcock has been appointed vice president,
Electronic Business, a new executive role at the company.

In her position, Babcock will drive Unisys electronic business strategy
worldwide. Her organization will identify new opportunities and define new
solutions to enable customers to leverage the Internet and World Wide Web
for their strategic business advantage. Those solutions will be designed not
only to help Unisys customers enhance their own customer service, but also
to do business with the company more efficiently through the Internet.

In addition to originating new strategies and solutions, Babcock's team will
coordinate, plan and implement a program to Web-enable the entire line of
Unisys products and services.

She will also build an infrastructure to share best practices from the many
Internet solutions and enabling technologies Unisys has already developed in
a broad range of critical application areas, including electronic banking;
end-user network and corporate security; electronic self-service; and
high-performance application servers.

"The Web is rapidly evolving from a collection of electronic shopping centers
into the source of universal change in the way businesses and governments
work," said Babcock.

Babcock's organization will also support the sales and marketing programs
and specific account initiatives of Unisys major accounts sales force, as well
as accelerate and coordinate the electronic business sales activities of
Unisys business units.

management skills, Barbara Babcock is uniquely qualified to build a strong
and differentiated position for Unisys in the electronic business arena," said
Joseph W. McGrath, Unisys senior vice president, Major Accounts Sales and
Chief Marketing Officer. Babcock will report to McGrath.

Babcock has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and strategic
development in the information systems industry. She joined Unisys in 1994
as vice president, Commercial Marketing for the Corporation. For the past
three years she has served as vice president, Marketing and Strategy, Unisys
Information Services.

Prior to joining Unisys, Babcock was vice president of Marketing for Enhanced
Business Services at Ameritech. Prior to her tenure at Ameritech, she was
vice president of Marketing and an officer of Stratus Computer, Inc.

She also has served as vice president and service director for Gartner Group,
a leading market research and consulting firm, and in a variety of senior
marketing positions for Data General. She began her career in application
programming and systems engineering.

Babcock earned an undergraduate degree from Carleton College and an MBA
from Northeastern University. She also graduated from the Harvard Business
School Program for Management Development.
