Keith, a cupple of things. First of all it is less costly for items that require ESD. MOT has found it between 45% and 55% less costly that what they were using previously.

Now for a replacement for just old plain bubble filler the storage space is small for a bag vs the bubbles. The cost per bag as I understand is around $.31 or less in quanities. The Air Box is reusable, but so are air bubbles. In my experience I toss the air bubbles but would keep this bag for reuse. Doesn't take much space. Using the Air Box one will use a smaller box for shipping. Also do not need as strong a carton. For example a winery is using it because the trade off between heavy boxes and lighter boxes. They have also experienced less breakage in shipping. The Air Box can hold multipal items. You and see through the bag and identify the contents. It provides an air barrier and protects against vapor penetration. To name a few advantages. :)
