Greg, That was an interesting article, lots of cross currents. Here is a recap of the storage market for 1998 per info from IDC as posted on The Register in January. Storage Market 98 theregister.co.uk Seven companies dominated the storage systems scene in 1998 controlling 2/3 of the $27.7 billion storage systems market and are set to gain even greater collective market share per IDC. The fastest growing company was EMC with a 30% increase in storage systems sales, while Hitachi experienced flat sales year over year.
