I just researched numerous Zip sites that feature disassembled Zip drives, and NONE
of them seem to mention or contain any evidence (photo or otherwise) of this "spacer
pad" feature. The only pad mentioned or visible is the cleaning/spacer pad on which the
heads rest when parked. If such "spacer pads" existed, they would surely mention them
on these pages (some go into GREAT detail in the construction of Zip drives and label
each part by part)

Pretty silly spending so much time researching something when you claim to hold no long or short position. You're getting to easy to figure out.
