USRF Denies Rumors of ''Death Bond'' Issuance
Potential Sources of Unfounded Reports Being Investigated
BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999--In response to recent reports and shareholder and brokerage firm inquiries, Internet Media Corporation (OTC BB: USRF - news; pronounced you surf) has issued a statement that it has not, at anytime in its history, ever issued a convertible debt instrument, or so-called ''death bond'' nor any ''self-perpetuating'' warrants or options or any similar security.

''We have never even discussed the issuance of convertible debt instruments, or so-called 'death bonds', or any kind of self-perepetuating or 'evergreen' options or warrants on our stock, let alone issued one,'' said David Loflin, Internet Media's President. ''As a company, we have always taken the position that this type of security, whether debt or equity, is not in the best interest of the company or its shareholders. We have had to deny this erroneous information before, and this time we believe the rumors were started intentionally by persons with full knowledge of the truth who completely disregarded that knowledge in their attempt to manipulate the market for our stock. We believe these actions violate securities laws and are investigating the source or sources of these malicious reports and will pursue, in full, any remedy available to us,'' Mr. Loflin concluded.
