This could be a simple trimming of the management... Kerns keeps his position at data operations and adds Spear's tasks. At this valuation they can't do much more rapid expansion, and instead should concentrate on achieving breakeven. In this environment, and possibly facing rounds of layoffs, it may not be very interesting to be a VP of engineering. Greg
