Rings a bell [dinnnnnnnng]...as I recall, I used to claim that I was going over to my girlfriend's house in the evenings to teach her (Linda by name) how to play the guitar. Something she'd just always wanted to learn how to do. Pretty easy to pull off the logistics at my house. I mean, my parents were not present. But at hers, it became necessary to make various guitar-strumming noises for public consumption on a continuing basis to allay any parental suspicions. A feat of diabolical dexterity I have not equaled to this day. As I also recall, she never learned a single chord. Nary a note. Best ask in a completely offhand manner to see the vase. Generously offer to have it fired for them... And Happy Belated Birthday, penni! I had planned to extend you my very personal greetings on Friday, but was mowed under by some disease or another.
