Mohan, we each have our own methods. The key is consistency. I do not exclude cash and marketable securities because it is not clear how the company intends to use those instruments, and what portion is required for working capital needs. Remember, in my original post I pointed out that ROIC is best used as a comparative figure, not as an absolute.
