Oracle has closed the "Million Dollar Challenge" after 3 months without hearing a word about it from Microsoft. Oracle offered $1 million to anyone who published a TPC-D benchmark using SQL Server 7.0 on a 1-terabyte database that was less than 100 times SLOWER than Oracle's best published benchmark. Looks like they'll need a new publicity stunt to tweak BillG. biz.yahoo.com -Michael
