*Two tone tests and cinema* Just to keep Ramsey interested between quotes, [just on 3m shares at $71 approx] here is a good url from Walt Houston in Yahoo! messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com
Caxton, "My feeling is that folks will prefer two separate superior devices than a combined model." Q! years ago was thinking in terms of 'six packs' for selling handsets rather than the glass case jewellery approach to selling which is still used. Demand for combined models will arrive pretty quickly because it's easier to cart one device around than a bunch of gadgets. Why have a calculator, a watch, a phone, a computer, a mini Web browser, a radio, an alarm clock, a newspaper, a couple of magazines, a video camera, a camera, a television set, a jar of Vegemite and a screw driver when you can have 'Anita [TM]' to do it all in one handy package? [The aerial is detachable and you can fit flat head or philips screwdriver tips]. When the methanol fuel cell batteries are available, a cigarette lighter will be included and a flashlight - the methanol fuel cells can provide a LOT of power. Heck, they might even have the outdoors model with a hot plate on top.
I like waking up and finding the stock up $6. It usually does the opposite. I think Q! touched $72 a couple of years ago so not quite there yet.
The cinema idea is looking good. They've been working quietly on that for most of the 90s too. No doubt Ericy will say they invented it long ago. It seems ready to roll. That should be a real winner. Q! is stacking success on success and is highly representative of The New Paradigm. People are figuring out that handheld computers will far outnumber desktop monsters with a million cables out the back. $ill Gates has finally given up on his PC on every desk and in every home idea and is now chasing the wireless world.
You won't even need a scanner anymore - just use the high resolution digital camera and send the image anywhere on the WWeb. Printers will be pointless - just email it to anyone and click on it to read it.

PS: Get this - missed a 2 metre normally achievable putt on the last hole, getting a bogey which would have been a 79 if sunk. If, if, if... Matched my best ever round though, which was only a week ago. Things are looking up. Ramsey, maybe you'd like golf more than baseball and football - you can ride on a cart, eat and drink as you go, while check Q! price on your WWeb gadget. Not so noisy either. Though the 'high in the stands' entertainment isn't usually as good. |
