IPVoice Communications Inc. (www.ipvoice.com) is preparing to wage an international war against Internet protocol (IP) telephony providers such as VocalTec Communications Ltd. (www.vocaltec.com) and Inter-Tel (www.inter-tel.com). IPVoice has completed testing of its IP telephony gateways to international destinations and expects to begin providing services in the near future.
IPVoice will provide service through its TruePartner Program, which includes telecommunications companies in China, France, Great Britain, Greece, Honduras, Hong Kong, Mexico, New York, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain and Turkey. Once IPVoice's TrueConnect Gateways are ready for commercial use, the company will be able to both originate and terminate traffic in those countries.
Company co-founder and President Barbara S. Will says she expects about $6 million in revenue to be raised within the first year of the telecom companies switching their service to IPVoice's network. Within three years, she expects 107 gateways to be installed, contributing at least $25 million worth of sales revenue.
Based in Littleton, Colo., IPVoice has developed its own software technology and applications to allow telephone calls, faxes and data to be routed across the Internet. The company also has developed support products for order entry, billing, customer service, agent management and switching network management systems.
