Michael, it's really quite simple. You are not portraying q-o-q growth. In order to draw the conclusion you drew you need sequential data. The best data actually consist of sales for the quarter (not growth). Using those data you can easily seasonally adjust, or build a multiple regression model that demonstrates the seasonality.
