I wouldn't read too much into the call volume.

It could very well be that it's just people long the stock are selling covered calls.

THQI has a pretty high volatility premium and there is a certain faction of 'investors' that think selling covered calls on high premium stocks is a good investment.

You can probably see THQI on the lists at sites like coveredcalls.com

Note there are a lot of what I consider dogs (like WAVO & ENMD, not THQI) on that list also.
