Daisy,
I won't smack you, but since you were a broker I'll raise my hand a little. 5 letter symbol attached to stocks representing something different depending on the 5th letter. Ie. F stands for foreign (PCNTF), Q=bankruptcy proceedings (BOSTQ), a stands for class a shares (BRK.A), d=new issue of existing stock usually reverse split (JAVAD), etc etc.
somewhere on the net I know there exists a list with all the symbols. Don't brokers get tested on these things?
