Absolutely. Self analysis as one reads it assists in taking one's personality out of the trade... a difficult thing to do, slowly one day, you begin to realize that the trades begin to be just like putting a coat on and off, depending if it is cold or hot. In other words, not a big deal...
The largest benefit I have been able to draw by reading these illustrious SI boards is looking at the emotions of the crowd-participants, a sample of course, but at times, a significant one.
In those where emotions run rampant, not only are they actually fun to read, but they illustrate in real life AND real time how these emotions interfere with what should be a simple thing --a trade...
