Let me know if you find an answer. I have been going to church for years, trying different ones, looking for some connection. I also thought it would be impossible for my kids to explore the issue if they weren't exposed to religion. The fellowship aspect of any religion deeply appeals to me as I value personal relationships. I would also dearly love to believe that I will see my father again - would you believe I'm crying as I write that. My consolation is that we live on through our deeds and in the thoughts of others, but that isn't enough for some people and I must admit I'd rather have eternal existence. My mother is very troubled over death right now. She was once a very deeply committed Christian but began to doubt and finally has become quite a bit like Liz in attitude. My mother is much nearer the end of her life then I am, but I think it must make it harder for her to deal with death than for me, because she once had faith and remembers what it felt like, that must be a really awful feeling. Anyway, religion is such a great subject to discuss it would be marvelous if we could deal with it here amicably. Alexa
